Green Langford is for local citizens and groups who wish to help shape the future growth of Langford in a slower, more sustainable way that can withstand larger economic fluctuations over the long term, rather than short term prosperity that depends on unsustainable growth. Some residents believe the way to achieve this objective is by trying to help shape the Langford Agricultural Strategy, a plan developed by the city and staff to outline it’s intentions.

A group of residents who care deeply for the natural aspects of the city have discussed a vision for new opportunities borne from agriculture, rural enterprises and eco tourism.  This site is intended to aid in the vision. Submissions welcome.

It is being developed by Deb Harper, a local freelance web developer, (DaystarConcepts), and food security advocate (LangFood.org), developing HomeGrow.ca, a website that promotes local urban food gardening.
